Altitude-IS collects and processes personal and financial data about you in the course of doing business with our existing customers and/or in the course of dealing with potential customers, in order to offer you financial products and services tailored to your needs and profile, or to respond to your requests. We also process personal data as a result of your use of our website, in particular through the various forms that are accessible on it.

The personal data collected is obtained directly from you and on the basis of documents obtained through your intermediary, but also from public registers, intermediaries facilitating the veracity of the data, as well as from any legitimate third party sources. They are processed and recorded by Altitude-IS in its capacity as data controller.

Altitude-IS attaches great importance to the protection of your data. By continuing to use this site or by establishing a business relationship, you expressly accept our data processing and confidentiality policy.

1. Type of data

In principle, Altitude-IS does not process data outside the framework of its business relations with its clients. However, Altitude-IS may, due to legal or regulatory requirements, be obliged to process data outside the framework of contractual relationships.

Depending on the financial and banking services involved, Altitude-IS may need to collect, use, store and/or transfer personal data about you, your co-account holders, cardholders, business partners (including other shareholders or beneficial owners), family members, representatives or proxies.

The information collected consists in particular of :

  • personal information (such as surname, first name, date of birth, passport, telephone, home address, postal/electronic address, telephone number);
  • family information;
  • financial information including statements, transactions, property, debts, tax, income, gains and investments;
  • tax information (in particular TIN, tax number, tax domicile);
  • professional information (such as CV, experience and professional activity);
  • information relating to our interactions with you (whether through the website, contact forms, telephone calls or visits).

We may be required to record and monitor your telephone conversations with Altitude-IS in order to maintain a high level of quality and security and to comply with regulatory and legal obligations.

2. Legal grounds and purpose of processing

The processing of data by Altitude-IS is based on the proper performance of the services it is required to provide as part of the fulfilment of its contractual obligations, on compliance with its legal obligations or regulatory requirements, and on legitimate interests.

We collect and process your data for the following legal reasons and purposes, insofar as they are necessary, in particular :

  • to enter into or perform a contract to which you are a party and to fulfil our obligations under such a contract;
  • to provide you with financial products and services and to ensure their proper execution;
  • to manage our business relationship with you;
  • to comply with legal or regulatory obligations (the law on money laundering, the orders and circulars of FINMA (Switzerland), tax legislation, legislation on markets in financial instruments) or in the public interest;
  • to carry out any form of cooperation or reporting with the competent public authorities and administrations, such as the criminal, tax or supervisory authorities;
  • to safeguard our legitimate interests (for example, to establish, exercise or defend our rights in the event of disputes);
  • to comply with internal directives, actively manage risks, verify the identity of our interlocutor, guarantee the security and functioning of our IT environment;
  • to use the data for marketing and advertising purposes following your registration or request;
  • to analyse and monitor usage, user behaviour and navigation during the use of electronic services.

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil our contractual and legal obligations. We may process and retain your data after the end of our relationship for operational purposes and/or in accordance with applicable laws, as well as under various legal and regulatory retention and documentation obligations.

4. Use of the website

Contact Form: this data is collected in order to be able to contact you and propose offers related to the range of products offered by Altitude-IS. This data is kept until you inform us that you no longer wish to be contacted by our teams.

To this end, we collect information enabling us to identify and contact you, such as your surname, first name, email address, home address, telephone number, investor profile and the company you work for. When you contact us, we may ask for additional information, such as your address or job title.

Employment Form: this data is collected so that we can contact you and check whether your profile meets our criteria. If we do not receive a favourable response, we will keep your personal data for a limited period so that we can contact you again if we have a new job offer.

To this end, we collect information enabling us to identify and contact you, such as your surname, first name, email address, home address, telephone number and current employer.

5. Your rights

In accordance with the applicable regulations, you have the right to access the personal data we have collected about you, as well as the right to rectify any personal data you have transmitted to us. You may also withdraw your consent at any time. However, the withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent prior to its withdrawal. You may object to processing, request the deletion of data, limit the processing of data or, where applicable, request a copy of your personal data, within the limits and under the conditions laid down by the applicable laws and regulations.

If we use your personal data for direct marketing purposes, in particular to send you newsletters, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time. In this case, we will no longer process your data for this purpose.

The rights may be suspended or restricted where the interests, rights or freedoms of third parties prevail, or where the data processing serves to assert, exercise or protect the claims of Altitude-IS. Furthermore, Altitude-IS is entitled to suspend or restrict the rights if the data processing takes place in the context of its activity as prescribed by law or regulation. In exercising some of the above rights, including the right to object to or limit the processing of data, Altitude-IS may not be able to provide you with certain financial products or services or to continue a business relationship.

6. Disclosure of your personal data

Altitude-IS is subject to confidentiality obligations when processing personal data.

To provide our services, personal data may need to be transmitted to third parties. Recipients of such data may include banks involved in the transaction, correspondent banks, trading platforms, brokers, exchanges, system operators, transfer registration, clearing, stock exchange processing and reporting services, issuers, fund and private equity administrators, sub-custodians, local market or supervisory authorities and other third parties involved in transactions or services. In addition, Altitude-IS may be required to provide information to authorities and/or third parties to the extent that it is required to do so by applicable legal provisions.

Where Altitude-IS outsources certain services, and to the extent that personal data is to be provided to its suppliers and service providers, Altitude-IS requires them to undertake to comply with all data protection and confidentiality obligations to which Altitude-IS itself complies, so that your data remains secure.

The data collected via this site may be transmitted to the various entities of the Altitude-IS Group within the European Union and Switzerland.

7. Confidentiality of your personal data

Altitude-IS takes all necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of personal data.

We restrict access to your personal information to those employees, agents or third parties who need to know that information to provide products or services to you in connection with your investments with or through us. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information, including firewalls, encryption, personal passwords and authentication technology.

All personal information provided via this website will be treated confidentially, in accordance with current legislation and regulations.
Nevertheless, despite all the precautionary measures put in place, users of this site expressly accept that the Internet network does not constitute a secure means of communicating information, and that they use the Internet at their own risk. Altitude-IS accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage that may be caused by the interception by third parties of information made available to you on this site. Altitude-IS accepts no liability for loss or damage caused by any failure or interruption of this site, or any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, computer virus, defect or alteration in the communications channel, even if the circumstances giving rise to the event are within the control of Altitude-IS or any software service or support provider.
